평생 아들 하나를 위해 살아온 어머니는 무슨 기도를 매일 드릴까. 그것은 물론 눈동자같이 사랑하는 아들의 장래를 위함이다. 요한복음엔 말씀이 육신이 되어 우리 속에 거한다는 말씀이 있다.(And the word was made flesh, and dwelt among us.) 하나님이 인간의 모습을 입고 우리를 찾아오셨다.
마태복음 속에 주님의 간절한 기도 내용이 붙박이처럼 담겨져 있다. 아버지여 내가 마시지 않고는 이 잔이 내게서 지나갈 수 없거든 아버지의 원대로 되기를 원하나이다.(If this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.) 주님께서는 우리 죄를 사해줄 십자가의 수난을 때가 왔다(the hour is come)고 하면서 마지막 순간을 두려움 없이 기다리셨다.
온갖 괴롭힘의 심문 속에서도 영적 평화와 아름다움의 또 다른 거룩한 모습을 본다. 예수 그리스도의 사생관 속에 나의 죽고 사는 사생관을 대입시켜 보시라. 우리 심령의 캔버스에 주님의 사랑의 극치의 그림을 그리어 보라.
39.And again he went away, and prayed, and spake the same words. 40.And when he returned, he found them asleep again (for their eyes were heavy) neither wist they what to answer him. 41.And he cometh the their time, and said unto them, sleep on now; and take your rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. 42.Rise up, let us go; Lo, he that betray me is at hand.[Mark 14:39-42]
39.다시 나아가 동일한 말씀으로 기도하시고 40.다시 오사 보신즉 저희가 자니 이는 저희 눈이 심히 피곤함이라 저희가 예수께 무엇으로 대답할 줄을 알지 못하더라 41.세번째 오사 저희에게 이르시되 이제는 자고 쉬라 그만이다. 때가 왔도다. 보라 인자가 개인의 손에 팔리우느니라 42.일어나라 함께 가자 보라 나를 파는 자가 가까이 왔느니라.[마가복음 14:39-42]

*spake: speak의 과거형(archaic;고풍의/marked by the characteristics of an earlier period. 전 시대의 특징에 의해 표시된) speak: 1.to utter words or articulate the sounds with ordinary voice.(발화를 하거나 보통 목소리로 조음하는 것) 2.to communicate vocally. 음성으로 교통하는 것. 3.so to speak/to use a manner of speaking/figuratively speaking.
*wist=archaic to know 고어의 know의 대신으로 쓰였음. *neither wist they what to answer him=They did not know what to answer him=그들이 그의 대답을 어떻게 할지 몰랐다. *The son of man(인자) is betrayed(배반당해서,be+p.p.과거분사=수동태) into the hands of sinners.(죄인의 손에 넘겨지다) *betray=배반하다. 배반당할 것이다=will be betrayed. *이제는 자고 좀 쉬어라=Sleep on now and take a rest. betrayer=배반자.
Frailty, thy name is a betrayer. 약한 자여, 그대의 이름은 배반자니라.
*sin=transgression of divine law: the sin of Adam.=하나님의 법을 어기는 것. 아담의 죄. *transgression=act of ransgressing: .violation of law.(법을 어기는 것) 2.any act regarded of such a transgression, especially a willful or deliberate violation of some religious or moral principle. 종교나 도덕상의 의도적인 원칙과 파괴.
*deliberate/adj: carefully weighed or considered; studied; intentional. careful or slow in deciding: a deliberate decision;심사숙고해서 얻은 결론, 결정. He took deliberate aim and fried, killing the mad dog=그는 침착하게 서두루지 않고 조준해서 미친개를 사살했다. *Lo=(감탄사) look; see; behold. 보라! *He that betrayeth me is at hand=the one betrayed me is near at hand=나를 배신할 자가 내 가까이에 있다.
